Two Men Dead After Separate Crashes On NSW Roads
It’s been a horror night on Sydney roads after two men died in separate crashes, one in the Blue Mountains involving an allegedly stolen vehicle and another in Sydney’s west.
The first accident occurred at around 10pm on Tuesday evening after a taxi, which was allegedly stolen at knifepoint from Lithgow 20 minutes earlier, smashed into a truck on Bells Line of Road at Bilpin.
Emergency services attended the scene and Bells Line of Road was closed in both directions for several hours. Police confirmed that a male driver, who is yet to be formally identified, died at the scene. The truck driver was uninjured.
The second crash occurred at around 11:20pm on Tuesday night when a 20-year-old man crashed his Mitsubishi Lancer into a tree in Rhodes.
The 20-year-old driver died at the scene and a female passenger was taken to Westmead Hospital to treat minor injuries.
