Royal Baby Watch Is Officially On

The countdown is on until the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge welcome their third child, and the pair have chosen to wait until it's born to find out the gender!

The baby is expected this month and although a due date has not been released, it is thought the infant will be born in the second half of April.

Kate will have a team of 20 top medical experts at the birth, which will take place in the private Lindo Wing of St Mary's Hospital in central London.

Preparations for the media coverage of the birth began in earnest on Monday, with crowd barriers going up in the street opposite the hospital and parking restrictions coming into force in the area.

Bookies believe Kate will have a girl and a large number of punters have placed bets on the baby being named Mary.

The Duchess is expected to attend Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's wedding on May 19, but will take an extended break from other royal duties.
