Rolf Harris Not Guilty On Three Groping Counts
A London jury has found Rolf Harris not guilty on three counts of groping girls and women but has been unable to reach verdicts on four other counts.
In Southwark Crown Court on Wednesday Judge Alistair McCreath discharged the jury from deliberating further on the undecided counts.
The 86-year-old Harris, sitting in a glass booth in the court wearing a dark suit and tie, showed little emotion as he listened to the not guilty verdicts, only sighing at one point.
He was charged with six counts of indecent assault and one of sexual assault dating between 1971 and 2004 when the seven complainants were aged between 13 and 42.
Judge McCreath thanked the jury for their "hard work" and ordered parties in the case to return on February 15 to decide the next steps.
That may involve a retrial on some or all of the undecided counts.
The jury had deliberated for more than 26 hours following a three-week trial.
