Really Bad News For Anyone Heading To Disney World This Week

Families en route to Disney World and Universal Orlando Resorts may be in for a big surprise, as reports are the parks could be set to close after a state of emergency was declared in Florida as Hurricane Irma heads straight for it.

The hurricane has already caused massive destruction to a number of islands across the Caribbean, leaving nine people reportedly dead.

Universal Orlando Resort is currently operating as normal as the weather is monitored but don’t worry - visitors are able to reschedule or seek refunds, according to spokesman Tom Schroder.

‘We have an affirmative, no-questions-asked policy for guests who tell us they want to change plans or seek a refund because of a named storm involving the Orlando area or where they are travelling from,’ he told Orlando Sentinel.

Walt Disney World resort police allows people to reschedule or cancel their holiday packages without fees if a hurricane warning is issued.
