Power Failure Closes Harbour Tunnel In Both Directions
The Sydney Harbour Tunnel is closed in both directions following a power failure.
The power outage occurred just after 10.20am on Monday, diverting motorists to the Harbour Bridge.
A NSW Transport spokesman told AAP work is underway to restore power to the tunnel as quickly as possible, but it's not known when it will reopen.

In a statement, electricity provider Ausgrid said the power outage affected major substations at Crows Nest and North Sydney.
"Supply was safely restored to all other customers in less than a minute, and investigations into the cause of this outage are continuing," the statement said.
Ausgrid said detailed safety checks needed to be carried out on the tunnel before power could be restored.
Motorists needing to travel across the harbour are advised to use Victoria Road, Anzac Bridge or Ryde Bridge instead.
