Popular Mazda 2, 3 & 6 Recalled Over Defect

Mazda owners are being advised of a defect in the popular Mazda2, Mazda3 and Mazda6 models.

The cars are being recalled over concerns the seat height adjustment lifter link may crack or the lifter link retaining nuts may separate.

Apart from causing an abnormal amount of noise and rattling, there are worries it could cause the seat frame to separate and move out of position.

The recall affects those vehicles available for sale between 4 September 2007 and 28 March 2012 with the following VIN numbers.

A recall has also been issued for Mazda’s BT-50 over concerns an intermittent output shaft speed sensor failure may result in loss of vehicle control.

It affects vehicles available for sale between 31 October 2011 and 3 December 2012 with the following VIN numbers.

Mazda owners will be contacted directly by mail and are being advised to take their vehicle to their nearest dealer for inspection and repair at no charge.
