Police Identify Tweed Valley Burning Body As Logan Woman

A Tweed Valley local has made the grim discovery of a burning body on the side of the road, which has now been identified as Logan woman, Sabrina Bremer.

Bremer was reported missing yesterday, and the 34-year-old had not been heard from since Tuesday.

Police suspect foul play in her death and Strike Force Faringdon has been established to investigate the circumstances surrounding the woman's death.

The Logan woman's body was still smouldering at the time of discovery, propped up against a tree on the side of the road.

The exact location of the body was on Pollards Rd, approximately 7 km from NSW town of Tumbulgum, discovered yesterday morning.

“It is a horrible thing for anyone to come across,” said Detective Inspector Brendon Cullen.

“(The motorist) has assisted us greatly, which I am very appreciative of.”

The motorist initially thought the scene was a burning log.

"No official cause of death has been determined at this stage; however Ms Bremer had sustained serious burns to most of her body," NSW Police said in a statement on Friday.

Anyone with information which could assist with this matter should contact Crime Stoppers anonymously via 1800 333 000 or crimestoppers.com.au 24hrs a day.
