NSW Police Left In Shock As They Pull Over A Truck Driver

A truck driver who was caught swearing on a busy highway over the Easter weekend was found to be 11 times over the legal alcohol limit.

The Kenworth B-double truck was seen trying to reverse on the M7 highway in Prestons, south-west of Sydney, at 12.20pm on Sunday after taking the Bernera Road exit, The Daily Telegraph reported.

Cars ended up surrounding the truck and obstructed the drivers way which gave him no other way to go but to a service station, where attempted to do a U-Turn before ended up jackknifing.

The driver got out of the vehicle and was detained by multiple members of the public until police arrived.

The 49-year-old driver, from Queensland, was arrested and had a blood-alcohol level of 0.282.

Drivers of heavy vehicles have a blood-alcohol limit of 0.02.
