Nanna’s Family Apple Pies Recalled Nationwide
An urgent recall has been issued on a popular dessert food nationwide over fears that it could have become contaminated with glass.
Nanna’s Family Apple Pies, sold at major supermarkets across Australia, are being recalled after Food Standards Australia and New Zealand announced that an equipment failure with a supplier has posed a potential risk of glass being found in the product.
The affected product is the 600g Nanna’s Family Apple Pies with a best before date of 21 October 2020 and 22 October 2020.
“Consumers should not eat this product,” read a statement from Food Standards Australia and New Zealand.
Anyone who has bought the affected product can return it to Coles, Woolworths, IGA, Woodlands and other independent supermarkets for a full refund.
No other products from the brand are affected by the recall.
