Man Targeted By Gang During Drive-By Shooting In Bidwill
Police believe a drive-by shooting at a family home in Sydney's west on Saturday night may have been a targeted attack.
The victim, 21-year-old Mr Aholahi, was standing outside the property on Lindley Square in Bidwill at about 9.30pm on November 18 when a black sedan pulled up and four men jumped out.
They pulled a gun and shot him in the leg but, as the victim turned to run back inside the house, one of the masked men followed him inside with a crowbar.
"We just heard a massive bang but it sounded like a firework," Mr Aholahi's sister Lilieta told 9News. "I was terrified myself, thinking how could he come in knowing there's a full house inside.
"It just doesn't make sense."
The four men then fled the scene in the same black sedan.
They're described as being of Pacific Islander in appearance and all aged between 20 and 30 years old; one of the men is said to be 183-193cm tall and of muscular build and was wearing a face covering.
Mr Aholahi was treated at the scene before being taken to hospital in a stable condition.
