Man Held Up By Armed Gang On Western Sydney Train Overnight

Police are investigating after a man was held-up by an armed gang on a western Sydney train in the early hours of the morning.

The 24-year-old was approaching Blacktown just before 12am on Thursday when a group of up to eight teenagers stopped him as he got up to leave the carriage.

It's alleged that one of the teens threatened the man with a knife, demanding his cash and belongings, which the man handed over.

The group, who are described as being in their late teens and of African, Caucasian and Pacific Islander or Maori in appearance, then fled from Blacktown Railway Station on foot.

Investigators are urging anyone with information about the incident to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
