Man Charged After Crash In Richmond

A man will face court charged with a string of traffic offences after a crash in Richmond overnight.

About 8.15pm, emergency services attended Kurrajong Road, Richmond, after reports a silver Ford veered onto the other side of the road and struck a Hyundai.

The 23-year-old female driver of the Hyundai was not injured.

The driver of the Ford, a 43-year-old man, was subjected to a breath test which returned a positive reading.

Further checks by officers from Hawkesbury Police District revealed his licence was disqualified.

He was arrested and taken to Windsor Police Station where he underwent a breath analysis which returned an alleged reading of 0.030.

The man was charged with special category driver drive with special range PCA, learner not accompanied by driver, learner driver not display “L” plates as prescribed, use unregistered motor vehicle on road, use vehicle with unauthorised number plates affixed and drive motor vehicle during disqualification period.

He was refused bail to appear before Penrith Local Court today (Wednesday 28 March 2018).
