Man Arrested After Bizarre Incident In Sydney Suburb

A man who was more than three times the legal blood-alcohol limit has been charged with high-range drinking driving after he crashed into a stationary police car in Sydney yesterday.

Police say a 57-year-old man reversed his van into the unoccupied police vehicle in the car park of a licenced premises on Station Road, Toongabbie just after 5 pm.

He was subjected to a roadside breath test, which came back as a positive and was then arrested and taken to Parramatta Police Station, where he returned a further reading of 0.162. He was charged and will appear at Parramatta Local Court on June 5.
