Kids Can Go Back To School These Holidays

Over 80 schools across the State will leave the gates open these school holidays, so locals can use their fields, sports courts and ovals.

After a successful trial over the Summer holidays, the State Government has announced an extension of the Share Our Space Program.

“The trial last summer was so successful we are delighted to be extending it to almost double the number of schools next holidays, giving families more options to use valuable open space in communities right across the State” NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian said.

“It has never made sense to me that schools are locked up over the holiday period. I’m pleased we are taking action to address this.”

The program includes schools across Sydney, the Blue Mountains, Newcastle and Wollongong.

NSW school holidays are on from Monday 16th April to Friday 27th April.
