Group Try To Invade Western Sydney Home Armed With Machete
Police are investigating after a group of people tried to force their way into a western Sydney home armed with a machete.
The incident occurred just after 10pm on Thursday evening, when officers responded to reports of a home invasion on De Witt Street in Bankstown.
It's alleged that the group, two men and a woman, entered the unit armed with the machete and a gun and began arguing with the 24-year-old female occupant.
Police believe the group then assaulted the woman before fleeing the scene.
Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
