Former Cricketer Stuart MacGill Hit With AVO
Former cricketer Stuart MacGill has been served with a provisional AVO for the protection of his partner, Julie Singleton.
The order, which was lodged with a Sydney court on Boxing Day, states MacGill can’t go within 100m of Ms Singleton’s place of work or her Vaucluse home.
The order also states he can’t approach or contact Ms Singleton except through her lawyer and is forbidden from assaulting, threatening, or stalking her or destroying her property.
The matter is expected to come before Waverley Local Court for the first time on Thursday, when an application for a continuing order will be heard.
Ms Singleton is a family law solicitor and former wife of Australian businessman John Singleton.
MacGill split with his wife of 14 years, journalist Rachael Friend, in 2014 and has been dating Julie Singleton ever since.
MacGill retired in 2008 after playing 44 Test matches for Australia taking 208 Test wickets at an average of 29.02.
