Get excited Australia, we're about to receive a brand spanking new ride-sharing service as an alternative to Uber and Taxis, just in time for you to use when going out for Christmas and New Years drinks!
Taxify, one of Europe's largest and fastest growing driving service, is headed down under and it's promising to provide us with cheaper rides with prices set to be at least 5% less than Uber.
But it's not just customers getting better bank for their buck! Drivers who sign up with Taxify are being promised a better deal too as they charge only 15% commission rather than the 20-30% wanted by competitors.
It works in a very similar way to Uber. Customers can view where the closest vehicles are on their phone, request a ride and pay through the app.

The service launched for Sydneysiders at 10am this morning with 4000 driver already registered in the area and the company expects to roll out their rides in Melbourne before Christmas.
