Saeed Noori Had Already Been Convicted Of Driving Offences

The man responsible for driving a vehicle into a crowd of innocent pedestrians in Melbourne on Thursday afternoon has been identified as 32-year-old Saeed Noori.

It has now been revealed that Noori was convicted six months ago for driving without a license, using a mobile phone while driving and failing to answer bail by missing a court appearance.

The Sydney Morning Herald are reporting that in June, Noori pleaded guilty to the charges that occurred either late last year or early this year and was given a $1000 fine.

It is also known that in 2010, Noori pleaded guilty to recklessly causing injury, but he was never convicted. He was ordered to pay an $800 fine.

The minor assault charge was dropped and the nature of the assault is unclear.

More as we get it.
