Fire At A Western Sydney Laundromat

Police and Fire & Rescue NSW have rushed to a factory complex overnight after reports of an out of control blaze.

The laundromat on O'Connell Street in North Parramatta was well alight at 10.30PM last night and required around 50 fire fighters to control the blaze.

Nine News are reporting that fire fighters needed to cut through roller doors on nearby buildings to access the flames.

Other buildings in the area - some with historical value - have been affected by smoke and fire damage.

No one was inside the premises when the fire took hold and there were no evacuations.

A crime scene has been established while detectives from Parramatta investigate the cause of the fire.

Anyone who may have information that could assist should contact officers at Parramatta Local Area Command.
