Father And Two Sons Killed While Working In Backyard Shed
A tragedy has emerged out of NSW rural town of Broken Hill overnight after reports that a father and his two sons were killed in an apparent accident while working in the family shed.
The cause of the accident is believed to have involved a malfunctioning generator that caused the men to be overcome by fumes.
Emergency services were called to property where they found the trio unconscious. They were rushed to Broken Hill hospital but were unable to be revived.
The father was a 44-year-old while his sons were 16 and 23.
“They’ve obviously been overcome by fumes,” said a NSW ambulance spokesman. “It’s a hazardous material incident.”
An investigation will be conducted by police once it is safe to access the shed however at this stage the deaths are believed to have been accidental and caused by a malfunctioning generator.
A crime scene has been established and police will prepare a report for the coroner.
