Three Western Sydney Suburbs Get Green Slip Refund Today
The NSW State government will kick off their green slip reforms today with Western Sydney set to be the first to receive a refund.
Motorists in three Western Sydney suburbs will be eligible to receive around $73 each in the cash boosting policy today. In the coming months the refunds will be made to four million drivers throughout NSW.
The suburbs that will receive a share of over $1 million from Service NSW today include Seven Hills, Kings Langley and Lalor Park.
The green slip reformation is one of many strategies introduced by NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian as part of the battle against the cost-of-living throughout the state.
These changes have seen CTP premiums slashed by up to $172 a year for regular motorists. Those who had their insurance calculated on the old costs will be eligible for the refunds being carried out from today.
“The new CTP scheme is delivering a big win for motorists through lower premiums, greater protections for those injured on the road and refunds on the premiums paid during 2017,” said Finance Minister Victor Dominello.
