Dreamworld Victim Fund Tops $50,000

A fund set up to assist the partner and two children of Dreamworld theme park victim Kate Goodchild has passed its initial goal of $50,000.

The fund established by a family friend had a target of $50,000 but that has now been reset to $100,000.

Late on Wednesday the fund had topped $57,000 on the back of 1070 donations.

Ms Goodchild is survived by her partner of 13 years Dave Turner and their two children.

Ms Goodchild, her brother Luke Dorsett, his partner Roozi Araghi and Cindy Low all died when their raft on the Thunder Rapids Ride flipped last Tuesday.

Dreamworld chief executive Craig Davidson says there's no plans for the Gold Coast fun park to reopen as police continue to investigate what went wrong on the ride.

But he has announced that flowers laid outside the park by mourners in the days following the tragedy will be turned into a permanent living memorial inside the park.
