Con Woman Uses Photos Of Little Cancer Sufferer In Sick Scam

A grieving mother was shocked to find photos of her beautiful son, Braiden Precott online months after he had tragically died from cancer.

The family of Braiden Prescott discovered a woman named Megan Steffan was posting old pictures of the seven-year-old to beg for donations.

Braiden was just two years old when he was first diagnosed with neuroblastoma – and despite treatment including chemotherapy, a stem cell transplant, radiotherapy and immunotherapy, his cancer returned.

He passed away in September after a five-year battle with the disease.

The family found Megan had saved the pictures of Braiden and was pretending he was her son.

She renamed him Blake and posted pleas for well-wishers to “send anything” that could help.

In the posts she wrote: “There’s nothing worse than watching your baby fight for their life. I wouldn’t wish this on my worst enemy.”

Braiden’s grieving mother, Stephanie contacted Megan when she found the posts online.

Megan quickly admitted to using the photographs to gain sympathy.

The Sun reports, she apologised and said: “It was a pretty pathetic way of doing it and I regret it to the full extent.”
