Cocaine And Cash Seized In Sydney Raids
Two men have been charged after police seized over a kilogram of cocaine and more than $770,000 in cash following search warrants across Sydney’s south.
Just after 6am on Thursday, officers executed simultaneous search warrants at homes in Mascot and Rosebery, seizing a hydraulic press, white powder, more than $15,000 cash, mobile phones, documents and clothing.
About 45 minutes later, search warrants were executed at homes in Rockdale and Pagewood, where 30 MDMA tablets, steroids, cannabis, cash, mobile phones and documents were seized.
Following ongoing inquiries, an additional property at Kingsford was searched, where more than a kilogram of cocaine, more than $760,000 cash and other drug paraphernalia was located by police.
A 22-year-old man was arrested at the Rosebery home and taken to Surry Hills Police Station.
He was charged with two counts of supply prohibited drug greater than indictable quantity and participate in criminal group contribute criminal activity.
The man was granted conditional bail and to appear at Downing Centre Local Court on Thursday14 June 2018.
At the Mascot property, a 26-year-old man was arrested and taken to Mascot Police Station.
He was charged with take part supply prohibited drug greater than commercial quantity, take part supply prohibited drug greater than indictable quantity, supply prohibited drug greater than indicatable quantity and knowingly direct activities of criminal group.
The man appeared at Central Local Court and was refused bail to appear at the same court on Thursday 12 July 2018.
