Boy In Serious Condition After Being Hit By Car
A boy remains in serious condition after being hit by a car while walking home from school in Sydney's west on Thursday afternoon.
It's believed the 13-year-old had gotten off a bus and was crossing the road when he was struck by the vehicle at the intersection of Great Western Highway and Day Street in Colyton.
Emergency services, including a CareFlight Rapid Response helicopter, treated the boy at the scene before he was transported via ambulance to The Children's Hospital at Westmead.
The boy sustained a head injury and leg grazes in the collision, said NSW Police, and the male driver is assisting with inquiries.
An investigation into the incident is underway.
