ABS Issue Final Warning Ahead Of Same-Sex Marriage Results
The Australian Bureau of Statistics is issuing one final warning to registered voters partaking in the same-sex marriage postal survey.
While about 75 per cent of ballots have already been returned, the ABS are reminding anyone who has yet to do so that today is the official cut-off.
Voters who wish to have their say will have to post their survey by close of business today to ensure that it arrives by the November 7 close date.
Any ballots received after that time will be deemed invalid.
The official results will be published on the ABS website on November 15 and if, as exit polls indicate, there is a majority yes vote, the issue will then be taken to federal parliament.
