Child Dies After Being Stabbed During Domestic Dispute
A five-year-old boy has died in hospital after a domestic dispute in Sydney's northwest this morning.
Emergency services were called to Moseley Street in Carlingford at around 7am following reports that a child had been stabbed at a property. When they arrived they found the child in a critical condition with stab wounds.
The child was rushed to Westmead Children's Hospital with a police escort but unfortunately he couldn't be saved.
A woman aged in her 60s, believed to be the boy's grandmother, was also treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics for shock.
A 36-year-man, who police have said is known to the boy, was arrested nearby and taken to Castle Hill Police Station.
Two crime scenes have been set up, one at the home on Paul Place and a second at nearby Mosely Street.
