150 Train Services CANCELLED Across Sydney This Morning

Sydney is set to experience a nightmare travelling to work this morning after reports that around 150 train services have been cancelled across the Sydney rail network this morning.

A number of services are also reportedly delayed.

The news was announced on Twitter this morning, with Sydney Trains writing that the wet weather and a large number of employees calling in sick being the cause.

“Service changes this morning may affect you, due to wet weather & a larger than expected number of staff off sick. Re-plan your trip & use real-time apps to avoid unnecessary delays…More info to follow.”

An update has since said that buses are replacing some services to assist those attempting to travel around the city.

“We are working hard to maintain a regular service, so changes are to be expected…Buses are being provided to supplement services & we will update this feed during the morning.”

A number of frustrated public transport users have also taken to twitter to share photos and messages about the delays.

If you’re using public transport this morning the advice is that you should allow plenty of extra travel time.

More as we get it.
