13-Year-Old Boy Killed In Waterskiing Accident

A 13 year old boy from Sydney, has died after a water-skiing crash in the state's central west during a state title race.

Blake Tickell, from Rouse Hill, was racing near Cowra in the NSW State Titles at Wyangala Dam on Saturday afternoon when he fell heavily. 

He was pulled from the a dam unconscious and airlifted to Westmead Children's Hospital, where he passed away last night.

His father Darren Tickle wrote on social media, "In memory of my son, my best mate. Love you for eternity Blakey,"

“He died doing what he was so passionate about. Blakey was wise beyond his years, an old soul, had love for everybody, and will be forever in our hearts.”
