NZ Teen Had No Idea She Was Pregnant, Gives Birth In Kitchen
A 19-year-old woman in New Zealand had no idea she was pregnant, until she saw her baby's head between her legs.
The woman was home alone in Christchurch when she went into labour and began to grasp what was happening.
Her stomach and lower back were aching the previous evening, but the woman just assumed she was coming down with something and took painkillers.
“I didn’t know what was happening. I just felt a major stinging feeling and when I looked down I saw a head,” she said.
‘That’s when it hit me. The next thing I knew, I had a baby in my arms.
“I was home alone and it was terrifying. I didn’t even scream.
“I was in complete shock and didn’t know what to think, but I managed to cut her umbilical cord with a pair of kitchen scissors and wrapped her in a towel.
“Then I tried to clean up all the blood.”
After cutting off the umbilical cord, the shocked young woman text her mother saying 'please don’t be mad or angry, but I’ve just had a baby. I don’t know what to do'.

Her family rushed to her aid and the brand new mum was taken to hospital with her 2.89kg little girl, where she delivered the placenta.
According to news.com.au, the woman had absolutely no idea that she was expecting and claims that she experienced irregular periods during her pregnancy and now realises her sudden hankering for KFC and lack of interest in alcohol were probably symptoms.
'We’re very lucky.' said the new mother.
What an incredible journey!
