Kate Winslet says she took it easy with food binges during her last pregnancy to avoid having to lose the extra baby weight.
Winslet gave birth to her third child, son Bear, last month - her first with her husband, Ned Rocknroll.
"I didn't do the ice cream cake thing, partly because I was working in the beginning of the pregnancy, until about 20 weeks. I couldn't have it all go to my face," Winslet told USA Today.
"And then it also spilled into - I don't know how much I can be bothered to lose the weight.
"It's such a pain in the (butt). I'm not one of those people on whom it all drops off and it all magically goes back. It doesn't."
Winslet also has daughter Mia, 13 and 10-year-old Joe with ex-husbands Jim Threapleton and Sam Mendes.
As a working mother, 38-year-old Winslet fully understands what other mums go through, and like them she has to juggle working with her home life.
"I have such admiration for working mothers. We have to do it all. We have to absolutely be there for our children and our partners. I absolutely run my show. I'm absolutely in charge. It isn't easy.
"I don't quite know how I juggle it. The children always absolutely come first. Now I do have to really plan. It's a hell of a lot. It's a case-by-case basis," she said.
The British actress married Ned Rocknroll in 2012.
