This Sydney Eatery Literally Has A Burger High Tea

Forget everything that you once knew about high tea because we have found something that is going to seriously shake up this fancy meal.

While scones with jam and cream, finger sandwiches and macaroons washed down with a nice cup of tea is certainly great, the much heartier version of high tea found at The Hanging Ladder eatery is what we can only describe as food from the gods.

This insane cafe located in Balmain in Sydney has created a completely savoury version of the fancy, tiered meal featuring all things greasy!

🚩🚩 @thehangingladder 🚩🚩 🍔 BURGER HIGH TEA 🍔 . I dont mind the occasional cup of tea, especially if its green, but this burger high tea is probably the best I've ever seen. A per person platter (I.e 2pp, 4pp, 11pp = $30 per person) - this pictured feed for two was great for @the_chew_crew to munch on through the week. Signature fat handcut fries, sliders of all the regular burgers and fried morsels of goodness on top. Poppers, mac balls, errrnion rangs! The Ladder's also licensed so add a cheeky brewski and it's a perfect lunch or dinner feed with mates 👌 . #thehangingladder #balmain #burgerhightea #hightea #burgers #jalapenopoppers #handcut #fries #cheeseburger #macballs #sydney #brewski #cheeky #dudefood #mates #lunch #dinner #tgif #friyay

Imagine sinking your teeth into signature hand-cut fries, various sliders, poppers, mac and cheese balls and onion rings! And instead of a hot cuppa you can wash it all down with a cheeky beer or a glass of wine!

Oh and if you want to up the anti just a little with your burger platter you can add loads and loads of melted cheese to the entire thing!

The burger high tea platter is available for lunch or dinner at The Hanging Ladder and comes in helpings to share between two, four and eleven people. (But TBH we could easily smash one of these bad boys all on our own…)

We know where we’ll be spending our entire weekend! So yeah, don't be alarmed if we show p to work 10kgs heavier on Monday...
