The Real Reason Why McDonald's Coca-Cola Tastes Better
Ever taken a sip of your McDonald’s Coke and wondered why it tastes so much better than a regular Coca-Cola?
Well, it’s not just in your head, it actually does taste better than any other Coke, and here’s why.
The food chain has it down to a science, and it’s all about the way you store it.
Last year, McDonald's answered the question on everyone’s lips, ‘Why does the Coca-Cola taste so good at McDonald’s?’, on the FAQ section of its website:
1. McDonald's has Coca-Cola delivered in stainless steel containers, unlike most fast food restaurants which have Coca-Cola syrup delivered in plastic bags (YUCK!). The stainless steel containers help preserve ingredients which made the soda taste fresher.
2. McDonald's also spends a lot of money on a filtration system so that the water that mixes with the syrup is fresh, clean water which is run through an insulated tube that keeps it cold – the perfect temperature.
3. McDonald's also pre-chills it's soda syrup before it enters the fountain dispensers to make sure it’s fresh AF.
4. They also have wider straws than everyone else, and that’s not an accident. McDonald's says it’s so “all that Coke taste can hit all your taste buds.”
So it’s not all in our heads, after all.
