Sydney's 'Spam Burger' Has A Surprising Response
The burger obsession has officially reached a new high!
Introducing the Spam Burger...
Bloody Mary's in Sydney's Darlinghurst are well-known for their innovative menus and impressive use of Instagram to showcase their menu.
Their latest creation is grilled spam, bacon, lettuce, tomato, pineapple, mayo and mustard and costs $16.
The owner, Cinta Rockey, told news.com.au that the response was more than they expected.
“We put it on the menu two weeks ago and it’s going off, it’s crazy,” she said.
“Last week there were 12 people who ordered it and now that number has doubled.”
She said it tastes “just like a normal hamburger”.
“People are a little bit freaked out about eating meat out of a can, but so far it’s getting a positive response. I guess don’t knock it till you try it. I love it. I’m not going to say anything bad about it. We wanted to think outside the box and bring spam back into fashion,” she said.
Some burger lovers are really excited about the burger, with their Instagram blowing up with positive responses.
We guess the real question is... Are you game enough to try it?
