'Milk Coke' Is A Thing And We Don't Know How To React
Milk Coke - or the horrific result of mixing Coca-Cola and milk - has divided the internet.
It started when comedy writer James Felton shared a picture of him making and drinking it on Twitter, and that it wasn’t just him, but that Milk Coke was popular in Birmingham.
"Milk coke is a real thing. Brummies love it," he wrote on Twitter.
"We can all move on from this discussion now, I will be taking no further questions."

It was met with delight, disgust, upset and confusion.
Those who were into it compared it to a coke float, made with coke and ice cream - or as we call it in Australia, a spider.
Another said: "It's weird to me that milk coke isn't common knowledge. My parents introduced us to soda/milk combo when I was like four - so 24 years ago, give or take. At the time it was called "bop" or "brown cow" and yes, if done correctly it was amazing."
"Do people not realize that this whole milk Coke debate is essentially just drinking an ice cream float? How are you appalled by this?"
Just like a melted coke float? No shame there— Danny with a Y (@MundyMorn) March 1, 2019
Milk & coke has BEEN a thing for like 50+ years. Nothing new about this.— Dina (@BionicVox) March 6, 2019
That just looks like a very disappointing coke float.— Ellen Rose (@icklenellierose) March 1, 2019
Birmingham, you deserve better. You deserve the magical cola ice cream bubbles.

I will be living and working in the the UK for a few months from April. But I will not be visiting Birmingham and you have just given me one more good reason for that.— Claire Connelly (@_ClaireConnelly) March 1, 2019

I recall, as a kid, I had the genius idea of putting milk in a Sodastream. Believing I had struck gold, I recall being surprised that no one else had yet thought to bring fizzy milk to market. However, on tasting, it became perfectly clear why; the gas instantly curdles it. Foul.— Caiman Black (@Caiman_Black) March 1, 2019
When I waited tables I had a regular who would order Colorado Bulldogs. It’s vodka, kahlua, milk, & Coke. Imagine ordering that on purpose & then paying for it.— Sean Lewis (@seanglewis) March 1, 2019
