Coles' Tough New Rule For Self-Serve Checkouts
If you’re a fan of taking you’re trolley through the self-serve checkouts, we’ve got some bad news.
It’s been revealed Coles is cracking down on shoppers and putting a limit on the number of items customers can scan in an attempt to tackle shoplifting.
The supermarket giant is trialling a 12-item limit reports Newscorp.
For everyone else with 13 or more – it’s back to the traditional checkouts.
It’s been found shoppers are more inclined to steal at the self-service points. It’s believed the lack of human interaction allows them to distance the act from the people.
The chain has also struggled with customers keying in fresh food as cheaper alternatives at the checkouts.
