Coca Cola Is Bringing The ULTIMATE Christmas Experience

For the last seven years, Coca Cola have kickstarted Christmas by sending their Christmas Truck all over the UK, marking the start of the festive season and spreading cheer across the country.

And now that infamous red truck is making its way Down Under for a carefully planned tour in partnership with the Salvation Army.

Launching today, the Christmas Truck will visit three regional communities in Australia, starting with a visit to Tamworth before moving on to two more surprise locations in far north and far west Queensland.

The Salvation Army's NSW and Queensland Communications and Fundraising director Leigh Cleave told news.com.au that the aim was to spread a little "sparkle" to towns that may otherwise miss out.

"Having the truck come to them is a way of taking a bit of the sparkle of Christmas to them," she said.

"It will help them know that the big events don't just happen in the main cities.

"There is still a feeling out there that the smaller communities are left out.

"There can be a feeling of isolation at Christmas time, and we hope this can help change that."

And sparkle it will; the iconic truck, which first launched in the '90s, is 20-metres long and decked out in flashing lights and is stuffed full of hampers and other seasonal surprises.

Luckily for Sydneysiders, the Christmas Truck will return to the city in time for Carols in the Domain on December 17 to deliver some of those surprises to carolers.

We guess this makes it official, then. The holidays really ARE coming!
