Bars March Is Back To Celebrate The Year Of The Dog
This lunar new year is the Year of the Dog and to celebrate, Bars March is returning for a ninth year to bring together 50 Sydney venues in support of Animal Welfare League, NSW.
Participating venues under #haveadrinksaveadog will be creating and selling special cocktails throughout March and a portion of proceeds will go towards the charity. The money raised will help Animal Welfare League shelter and rehome abandoned, neglected and surrendered animals.
Along with special cocktails, many of the venues will be contributing their own creations to help raise money. If you’re looking to enjoy a drink at a pup-friendly venue participating in Bars March, make sure to check out North Wollongong Hotel, Wollongong and The Village Crown, Zetland.
Other venues that will also be participating include, Frisco Hotel (Woolloomooloo), Misfits Bar & Dining (Redfern), The Carrington (Surry Hills), East Village Sydney (Darlinghurst), The Lobo Plantation (CBD), Big Poppa’s (Darlinghurst), Watson’s Bay Hotel (Watson’s Bay), Whirly Bird (Pyrmont), The Royal Leichhardt ( Leichhardt) and O Bar Dining (CBD).
The event stretches all the way up through to Balcony Bar & Oyster Co. up in Byron Bay. A full list off all participating bars can be found at the Bars March website here.
Any bars interested in joining in on Bars March can sign up by March 4 at the site here.
Bars March is set to be the biggest celebration of Sydney’s bar culture! All with a good cause in mind. Who could say no to that?
