ALDI Whisky Named Best In The World
ALDI has done it again when it comes to their award winning booze!
The discount supermarket chain has won an award for best whisky in the world.
Esquire reports that judges at the Spirits Business Scotch Whisky Masters, have awarded ALDI with not one, but two gold medals- one for its Highland Black Scotch Whisky, and another for its Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky.
We’ve done it again. 🥇 Have you tried our Highland Black Scotch Whisky yet? https://t.co/EhniM3nmEd— Aldi Stores UK (@AldiUK) June 12, 2018
According to the judges the Highland Black has hints of heather, strawberry leaf, and lemon oil (sounds fancy!) and sells in Australia for $35
Meanwhile the Islay Single Malt is described as "fresh and zesty," and retails for $48
ALDI's whisky also won gold medals at the same competition last year.
It sounds like they know what they're doing when it comes to grog, ALDI's rosé picked up a silver medal from an international competition, and its gin has been crowned best in the world several times.
We'll drink to that!
