Driver Tries To Pass Off Homer Simpson Licence As Legit

An English motorist was left with their own 'D'oh!' moment after presenting police with a Homer Simpson licence when they were stopped last week.

Local police tweeted a picture of the licence, which was complete with the iconic yellow character smacking his head.

The ‘licence’ carries Homer’s signature and a Springfield address - the fictional town in which the Simpsons is based – although the address displayed, 28 Springfield Way, is actually incorrect.

Any fan knows that the Simpsons live at 742 Evergreen Terrace.

After the police did some checks, it was discovered that not only did the driver have no proper licence, they had also been driving with no insurance.

Their car was consequently seized.
