Zoo Lets You Name A Cockroach After Your Ex For V-Day
A zoo in the US is offering people the chance to let their ex know exactly how they feel about them by naming one of the zoo’s animals after them for Valentine’s Day.
Not a koala or baby elephant or orangutan… but a Madagascar hissing cockroach.
For the very reasonable price of $10, the Bronx Zoo’s Name-A-Roach program will let you name one of their brood.
The honouree is then sent a certificate telling them one of the insects from the world’s largest cockroach species has been named for them.
Since 2011, the zoo has offered the program as a fun way to fundraise for the Wildlife Conservation Society.
There are thousands of them, so there are plenty of the hissing cockroaches to go around.
