You Can Now Actually Stay The Night In Dracula’s Coffin
Are you a bit of an adrenaline junkie?
Do you love all things horror and gore?
Well Airbnb have an option that will more than likely tickle your pickle.
For one night only, you can stay at Count Dracula’s castle in Transylvania and sleep in a coffin - and it’s absolutely free.
Airbnb is working with Dacre Stoker, the great-grand-nephew of author Bram Stoker, to arrange a Halloween night you’ll never forget at Bran Castle, the inspiration for Dracula’s lair.
It’s not just about the coffin either. Guests will travel by horse-drawn carriage through Transylvania while Dacre, a vampire expert, will divulge the dark secrets of vampires - and Dracula himself.
Then, you get to the best bit; the castle itself. You’ll go through a secret passage on the first floor, featuring squeaky staircases, dark halls, and creepy corners.
Then you hit the grand dining room, where you’ll be met with candlelight and enjoy a dinner you won’t forget; robber beef steak and paprika hendl chicken.
You can also explore all 57 rooms in the mansion, but be warned; you will have to be wary of any ‘unexpected guests’ who come knocking throughout the night.
Of course, staying at such a grand estate comes with some ground rules. You cannot bring any garlic or garlic-scented items, including perfume.
You must leave silver jewelry at home, along with any holy symbols. Do not cross anything, even your cutlery, close all the curtains before sunrise, and extinguish all burning candles before going to sleep.
And "the Count is not a fan of mirror selfies," Airbnb warns.
