YES! Filming Starts On Series Seven Of Offspring
The Proudmans are back as filming has begun in Melbourne on the seventh season of Offspring.
Stars Asher Keddie (Nina) and Kat Stewart (Billie) are returning with the new season picking up just weeks after the season six finale.
Nina is in a new relationship with Harry (Alexander England) while also juggling her job as a single mum to three-year-old Zoe and her role as acting head of obstetrics while Clegg (Lachy Hulme) and Cherie (Deborah Mailman) honeymoon in the outback.
There's plenty of drama to keep the rest of the Proudman family busy, with Billie and her brother Jimmy facing tough times in their relationships.
The popular TV show made a surprise return last year after a two-year break.
At the end of season five, the show no longer qualified for Screen Australia's Producer Offset, which offered producers of Australian TV shows a tax rebate up to a maximum 65 episodes.
The show also lost its creator, Debra Oswald, after season five because she felt the show had reached a natural end, while writer Michael Lucas also pulled out.
But the show's popularity proved enough for Network Ten and production company Endemol Shine to create another season after two years off screens.
Season six was well received in 2016 and another season of 10 episodes was confirmed in November.
