Woman Gives Ultimate Sacrifice To Sister Who Beat Cancer
Allison Ardolino Dinkelacker was diagnosed with breast cancer in the latter stages of her first pregnancy, and told she couldn't have any more children.
She received her diagnosis of stage 3 breast cancer in 2009 when she was 30 weeks pregnant.
She had an emergency C-section at 31 weeks, and gave birth to a healthy baby boy, Dylan.
But six years later and cancer-free, the now 40-year-old wants to expand her family but was told by her oncologist that if she became pregnant, she would put herself at serious risk of the cancer returning.
Her twin sister, Dawn Ardolino Policastro accompanied to her to the appointment where doctors told them that they thought the first cancer diagnosis was triggered by pregnancy hormones.
In a Facebook post Allison revealed how Dawn offered to carry her child for her.
"Well before he even finished his sentence Dawn jumped in and said: "It doesn't matter because I am going to carry their child'".
Photographer Allison Rose captured these gorgeous images of the pair, and the post has since gone viral.
Dawn already had two sons, Jake, 7 and Ashton, 3, and she gave birth to her nephew Hudson on August 5!
Somehow, the baby's gender remained a secret from Allison throughout the pregnancy, even though Dawn knew.
