Woman Escapes Mugging By Using Tactic From 'Law & Order'
A woman has thwarted a mugging by using a tactic she saw on Law and Order - she faked a seizure.
Julie Dragland was on a Bay Area Rapid Transit train in when a person sat behind her and handed her a terrifying note.
"There are 2 guns pointed at you now. If you want to live hand back your wallet + phone NOW + do not turn around and be descreet (sic)," the note, scribbled in red ink, read.
"Do not turn around until after you have left Civic Center + you will live."
The quick-thinking woman did the first thing that came into her head. She pretended to have a seizure. A move she said she saw on Law and Order.
"So I … if I fake a seizure or fake like I’m passing out, I’m not even not complying," she told CBS San Francisco.
"I started slumped over to the left and started shaking and people started to notice and they’re like, 'Are you okay? Are you okay?'"
The suspect, described by Ms Dragland to police as an older woman with a suitcase fled at the next station.
