Two Cars Crash In Sydney Bus Lane, But Who's At Fault?

A car crash involving a vehicle in a bus lane and another car turning left across it has split opinion on the web about who's actually at fault.
The Dashcam footage shows the driver changing into a bus lane (outside its active hours) in Ryde in Sydney's north shore before overtaking several other cars.
The car then comes to a side street where a white BMW turned left from the lane on the right, cutting across his path and causing the driver to t-bone him.
The BMW had indicated and slowed before turning, but didn't get into the left land beforehand.
People have commented online that the dashcam driver should have been more aware of the other car's error and slowed down to try and hitting them.
