Tour De France Cyclist Shares Shocking Effect Of Race

We knew the Tour De France wasn’t easy, but geez - we never would have imagined the toll cycling could have on your body.

After completing 16 stages, or around 2,829km of cycling, Polish cyclist Pawel Poljanski shared a photo online, and the gruelling results will SHOCK you.

After sixteen stages I think my legs look little tired 😬 #tourdefrance

A post shared by Paweł Poljański (@p.poljanski) on

Alongside the photo, Pawel wrote: "After 16 stages I think my legs look a little tired," which is quite the understatement. The photo went viral shortly after it was posted, and has since been shared almost 13,000 times in 14 hours.

The sunburnt kneecaps top off the veiny limbs perfectly, adding to the overall shock for viewers.

Pawel is currently 75th in the race, which continues later today, and there are still five more stages until he gets to give those legs a proper rest.
