This SUPER OFFENSIVE Caitlyn Jenner Ad Has Been Removed
A New Zealand company has been heavily criticised after using a photo of Caitlyn Jenner in a Santa hat on a billboard with the slogan, "I hope your sack is fuller than mine this Christmas. Merry Christmas from Cranium.”
After receiving HUNDREDS of complaints about the offensive, transphobic nature of the billboard, the signage company apologised for its “poor judgement” and a “censored” sign has now been placed over the billboard.
They’ve also deleted the image from their Facebook page, and announced they’d “put the rubbish in the bin, which is going to the landfill,” next to a photo of the billboard with a censored sign over the top.
Amid the controversy, Cranium donated $1,000 to an LGBT charity.
A spokesperson for the LGBT charity says they welcomed the donation while also noting the danger in "jokes" like these, but a mother of a transgender 9-year-old said she thought the donation was just an attempt to "save his reputation by paying the community off."
The company has also been accused of breaking copyright law by using an unauthorised photo of Caitlyn Jenner that could mislead people into thinking Caitlyn Jenner authorised or endorsed it.
