Epic Story Of Hamster Rushed To The Vet For Dumbest Reason
Anyone who has had a pet fall ill knows the anxiety, stress and pure fear that runs through you while you try to get them help.
Is it serious? Are they going make it? Will the insurance cover it?
Being a pet-owner isn't easy.
Luckily it was a happy ending for the worried human of a hamster, who had been unable to move from the corner of his cage for close to three days.
(The hamster, that is. Not the human.)
After growing concerned, the girl rushed her teeny, helpless rodent to the vet, at which point the story was thankfully shared to the internet by the doctor's sister, Twitter user @eeveelution.
"A little girl brought her hamster in because it hadn't moved for three days and was just sat at the side of the cage and wouldn't eat or drink anything," she explained in a text to her friend.
"So [my sister] asked her if anything had happened that may have caused it, the girl says yeah, he escaped for a bit but we found him under the fridge.
"So they have a look at this hamster, put him on the table and he's walking around, eating and drinking fine etc.
"All fine. Which is really weird."
Wait. The punchline is epic.
She continued: "Then they notice there's something in his cheek pouch.
"So they look inside, and find a fridge magnet.
"Turns out the only thing wrong with this hamster is that it had a fridge magnet in his cheek pouch and was stuck to his metal cage."
