THIS Is The Age You're Most Likely To Cheat

Cheating is a pretty contentious topic but new research has managed to pin down when you – or your partner – are most likely to cheat.

And it’s probably not what you’re expecting, either.

No, according to a study published by IllicitEncounters, people are twice as likely to play away from home when they turn 39.

Actually, the same goes for any age ending in nine – 19, 29, 39, 49 or 59; apparently the prospect of taking a step into a new decade is enough to send us running into the arms of someone else.

But 39 is the big one, presumably because of the countdown to life beginning at 40.

Coming a close second is people turning 49 (which may make that 50th birthday party a little awkward), with 29 being the third most dangerous age.

A spokesperson for IllicitEncounters told The Sun that their research “shows that some people cheat to get their partner’s attention."

“If their partner’s a workaholic or unavailable to them, being caught with someone else is way of saying: ‘Hey, if you love me, pay attention to me!’

“’Payback cheating’ is also common,” the spokesperson continued. “If you’ve cheated in the past or done something else to hurt your partner, they might retaliate to get even.”

So there you have it folks. Keep an eye on the 29-, 39- and 49-year-olds.

The dating world really is a minefield.
